The “take my sweatshirt, it’s cold” move… works every time. Plus, it’s the perfect excuse for a DM to pretend you need that sweatshirt back.
After a short time of dates and hanging out, Justin asked Sophia to be his wedding date. He was excited to show her off and asked her “how should I introduce you? As my girlfriend”?
Fast forward to moving in together, Justin designing Sophia’s ring with his grandmother’s diamond, and planning a romantic proposal in front of their friends around a bonfire (Sophia was totally surprised!) You can hear all the details of their love story on my podcast, “So Tell Me Your Love Story”.
Planning a wedding during 2020 was rough. Sophia + Justin had originally planned to have a backyard wedding with 150 guests in the fall of 2020. Sophia called Justin one day and mentioned that they should’ve just eloped. She was honestly expecting him to simply agree with her but instead, he said “It’s not too late”, and that was all Sophia needed to begin her search for the perfect spot. She told Justin “I’ll just know when I see it”. After a Google search for “destination weddings in the U.S.” and plenty of searching, Sophia stumbled across Casa Tierra Adobe Bed + Breakfast in Tucson, AZ and knew, without a doubt, that was it. This was the PERFECT spot for her and Justin to say “I Do.”
When Sophia+ Justin told me that their original plans had changed and that they’d be heading to Tucson, AZ for their wedding, I didn’t even hesitate. I booked an adorable little AirBnB, a flight, and planned on joining them in October. I wouldn’t miss this for anything and DANNGGGG I’m so freakin’ glad I tagged along!
