HEY HEEEYYYY Philly people!! At Lydia Joy Photography, we ditched the traditional “engagement session” and invited our couples to join us for “date night” sessions instead. Fishtown, Philadelphia is the perfect spot to explore multiple locations with plenty of unique spots without having to venture too far.
Here are my 10 favorite “date night” spots in Fishtown:

1. Joe’s Steak + Soda Shop
to enjoy a delicious cheesesteak (and they have vegan options!)
2. WmMulherin’s Sons
has a calming vibe + incredible menu, but honestly, I’d go for the drinks alone because their staff is so personable! Plus, they have a fireplace which is perfection in the winter.
3. Pizza Shackamaxon
incredible pizza and an aesthetic wall for photos. Y’all, I was instantly hooked!
4. Acme
hear my out! Alyssa + Collin (the couple pictured above) love to grocery shop together (plus how cool is a rooftop grocery store?!)
5. Interstate Drafthouse
home of the famous Fishtown Tea. This little spot is such a vibe and the owners are so kind (and they love serving you AND your four-legged friends with outdoor seating)
6. Weckerley’s Ice Cream Shop
for the BEST ice cream sandwiches you’ve ever had. Seriously, don’t just take my word for it, go devour one for yourself!
7. Philadelphia Record Exchange
to shop for wedding decor + old vinyls. I’m such a sucker got old vinyls and I ALWAYS leave with an Elvis Presley record *fun fact*
8. Jinxed Antique Shop
has some of coolest items to pick through. You can find everything from old books, maps, drawer pulls, artwork postcards, and more.
9. La Colombe Coffee Roasters
has lattes on draft and they’re unlike any coffee I’ve ever had! I’ve never done a session here but I want to SO BAD so… who want’s to be first? See ya there! (Coffee is on me!)
10. And lastly, Fishtown Murals
because I’m obsessed with incorporating awesome and quirky artwork into photos!
I love that “date night” sessions feels relaxed, authentic to who YOU are as a couple, and allow you to enjoy some of your fave spots around the city.
